The sun sits high over a stone terrace where a glass of sparkling water beads with condensation. Someone sets down a wedge of grapefruit beside a bowl of lemons just sliced for a salad. Pompelmo Pepe arrives in that air with a bright, acidic rush that feels like juice hitting the skin. Yuzu adds a sharper, slightly green edge to the citrus, while pink pepper and black pepper give the opening a dry, cracking heat that keeps the fruit from leaning sweet.
Cedar steps in early, lending a clean, pale wood tone that steadies the zest. Lily-of-the-valley opens soon after, smooth and dewy, followed by a soft rose that reads more like petals brushed against a table than a heavy floral arrangement. The pepper lingers through the heart, so the flowers never turn powdery or lush. Everything stays upright and sunlit, as if the garden just beyond the terrace is reflecting directly into the glass.
The base pulls the scene toward the ground. Oakmoss brings a cool, shaded earthiness, and vetiver adds a grassy, rooty texture that pairs with patchouli’s dark, damp soil note.
