Pure Amber
Fragrance notes
Character
Pure Amber opens with a brisk citrus mix. Tangerine, bergamot, grapefruit, and bitter orange arrive together in a bright, slightly tart spray. The effect is clean and immediate, with no heavy buildup before the sharper edges show.
Cedar sits at the center. It is dry and straight, giving the fragrance a firm middle that keeps the citrus from feeling loose. The wood here is pale and steady, not dark or resinous yet.
Labdanum, benzoin, and vanilla form the base. The amber accord feels warm and slightly powdery, while the vanilla adds a soft roundness. The resins give the blend a golden tone that deepens the overall impression without turning it sticky.
Michele Carnevale composed this 2018 release for Alta Manifattura Cosmetica. It suits someone who likes citrus that moves quickly into resin rather than staying sharp. The mood fits a cool morning when a scarf is still needed, a room lit by a single lamp, and a heavy wool coat draped over a chair.
