Castoreum adds a rough edge, animalic and real, before the heart reveals a soft peach that glows against amyl salicylate and a steady ribbon of smoke. The fruit is not bright. It sits low, mingling with the haze until the base takes over completely.
Patchouli and amber settle into the room like heavy curtains drawn shut. The amber is deep and balsamic, wrapping the patchouli in a sweet, woody blanket that feels expensive and slightly old fashioned. Leather from the castoreum lingers in the background, giving the warmth a rugged texture. The entire composition smells rich and intimate, perfect for a cold night indoors. The drawback is the synthetic sharpness in the heart. The amyl salicylate cuts through the natural feel of the resins, creating a metallic tang that distracts from the smooth amber and patchouli foundation.
