Our take

The air is dry and still. A small brazier glows in the corner of a stone room, its smoke curling upward as saffron and rose petals scatter across a wooden table. The opening feels immediate and dry, with incense leading the way and a metallic edge catching the light. It is not a gentle entrance. The rose here is thin and papery, allowing the spice to press forward without distraction.

As the moment settles, the floor of the room seems to rise into the scent. Cypriol brings an earthy weight that grounds the air, while patchouli adds a dark, damp soil note that feels cool against the heat of the spice. Leather enters with a firm, tactile presence, like worn material left in the sun. The amber in the base begins to glow, not bright and sugary but deep and resinous. Musk and sandalwood smooth the edges of the sharper roots, creating a balsamic softness that wraps around the heavier elements. The smoke from the brazier lingers, now mingled with wood and a warm, golden resin.

The room holds its character. The leather and earth remain steady, supported by the creamy sandalwood and the persistent amber. It is a composition built on warm spicy accords and smoky wood, where the balsamic depth sits comfortably beside the metallic spark of the opening. The rose has long since faded into the background, leaving the amber to carry the final impression.
