Patchouli, sandalwood, and cypriol form the heart. The patchouli is dark and earthy, leaning into soil and damp wood. Sandalwood smooths the roughness with a creamy, pale wood tone. Cypriol adds a smoky, root-like depth that pushes the blend further away from freshness. Leather, amber, and oud settle in the base. The leather is stiff and dry, not buttery or sweet. Amber provides a resinous warmth that clings to the wood, while oud gives a medicinal, animalic weight that lingers beneath the surface.
The overall impression is heavy, resinous, and unapologetically dark. It suits a cold night outdoors, where the air is sharp and the light is low. The oud here can feel harsh and medicinal to those unaccustomed to natural oud, and the patchouli may read as muddy rather than rich when the air is warm.
