B. Intense opens with an unexpected gambit: a tart, almost candied blueberry that is quickly tempered by the grassy, slightly nutty bitterness of green tea and the faint milky undertow of soybean. It is a playful but restrained start, like a fruit stall set up at the edge of a botanical garden. The heart erupts with night blooming cereus, that tropical white flower that smells of creamy jasmine and wet stone, but here it is kept from going too heady by the green tea’s dry edge. The drydown settles into a straightforward woody duo of cedar and mahogany, warm and quietly expensive, but the florals have already spent their energy.
This is a fragrance that feels like a greenhouse at dusk: humid, sweet, and slightly synthetic in the way perfumery white florals often are. It is clearly mainstream in intention, with a fruity floral structure that leans on a crisp, fresh top to keep it wearable. But the numbers tell the honest story. The longevity is weak, barely three hours before it becomes a skin scent, and the sillage is polite at best. For a fragrance named “Intense”, it lacks the tenacity one expects.
It suits someone who wants a pretty, springtime floral with a fruity wink, no aggression, no projection. Skip it if you demand all-day performance or prefer bone-dry woods.
