Cristobal opens with a green snap, the fig leaf sharp and almost bitter, while carnation adds a clove-like peppery warmth and bergamot lifts it into something citrus-bright. That initial moment is deceptive, because within minutes the florals swell forward, peony and freesia giving a creamy, slightly soapy sweetness, jasmine turning the whole thing more lush. The base is where the perfume settles into its real character: vanilla softens into sandalwood’s smooth, milky wood, and patchouli grounds everything in a dry, earthy powder. The overall effect is like a velvet evening bag left open in a garden after a spring rain, the fabric carrying traces of wet greenery, wilted petals, and sweet wood.
It feels velvety rather than heavy, a plush oriental that never pushes too hard. The longevity is moderate, three and a half stars, and the sillage sits close, which suits its introspective nature.
