Character
Pineapple can turn cloying fast, and here the fruit arrives loud at first. The juice smells ripe and sun-warmed, heavy with sugar, leaning toward candy before anything else steps in. It fills the small kitchen where someone is chopping winter fruit for a tart, the bright yellow scent cutting through the cold air from the open window.
Guaiac wood enters soon after, its dry smoke pulling the sweetness back from the edge of dessert. The wood feels rough and resinous, rubbing against the juice like bark against skin. Patchouli sits underneath, earthy and dark, giving the fruit a soil-stained root to hold onto. The room smells of tropical heat meeting a forest floor, the air thick with warm spice and damp earth.
The person at the counter moves between the stove and the sink, leaving a trail of fruity warmth behind them. The mixture feels unisex and bold, suited to someone who enjoys a loud entrance and a dirty base. It is not for those who prefer clean citrus or pale florals. The scent settles into a woody, patchouli haze.
