Rosa Nera Oud
Fragrance notes
Character
You want a rose that does not float. This one opens with deep red fruit and warm spice, black currant and raspberry pressed against cinnamon and clove. The flower itself feels dark and heavy, more resin than petal, sitting low in the air rather than lifting upward.
Smoke rises from the center as patchouli and incense take hold, with sandalwood smoothing the edges. Oud and amber anchor everything, benzoin adding a thick sweetness that never quite lightens. This is a fragrance for dim rooms, heavy coats, and the part of the evening when the air turns cold and the street goes quiet.
The materials are rich, but the blend leans dense to a fault. There is little space between the elements, so the rose and the fruit never get a chance to breathe. If you prefer a composition that feels transparent or easy to wear, this one will feel like too much weight on the skin.
