Our take

Sette Agrumi opens with a bright rush of pink grapefruit, blood orange, and Calabrian bergamot. The citrus is immediate and vivid, leaning into the tart side of the peel rather than the sweet juice. It feels clean and direct, with no heavy sweetness to slow the start. The fruit reads as natural and unprocessed, like the raw material itself rather than a candy interpretation.

Basil and vetiver enter soon after, joined by Sicilian mandarin. The basil adds a leafy, slightly peppery edge that keeps the citrus from feeling one-dimensional. Vetiver brings a dry, earthy thread that grounds the brighter notes without turning dark. The mandarin in the heart keeps the tone sunny and lifts the herbs so they never feel medicinal or sharp.

The base settles into lime, petitgrain, mandarin orange, and saffron. Petitgrain reinforces the green, twiggy character already present, while lime and mandarin orange circle back to the opening fruit. Saffron is the quiet exception here, adding a faint warm, metallic shimmer that sits underneath the dominant greens and citruses. The overall impression stays aromatic, fresh, and woody throughout.

The saffron is subtle to the point of being difficult to place, and the composition leans so fully into its citrus and green accords that it rarely offers a surprising turn. It is a straightforward fragrance that does exactly what the note list suggests, which means it can feel a bit narrow for those who want more contrast or depth.
