Our take

Adora opens with a fistful of tart berries — blackberry and raspberry, sharpened by cassis and a faint herbal jolt from thyme, while lychee adds a watery, almost canned sweetness. It’s a loud, synthetic-fruity top that feels more like a candy aisle than a garden, but the heart sneaks in a mango that’s ripe and creamy, tangled with jasmine and a strange aquatic hyacinth note that keeps things from tipping fully into dessert. The base is where the fragrance finds its spine: patchouli and woody notes ground the sweetness into something darker, with amber and musk adding a soft, warm skin-hug that lasts about as long as a decent handshake.

This is a perfume that behaves like a party guest who arrives with a burst of laughter and then disappears an hour later. The longevity sits at a frustrating 2.91, and sillage barely brushes a 2.63, which means you get a lovely, tropical-fruity patchouli cloud for maybe two hours before it retreats to a private whisper. That low projection is almost a blessing, though, because the opening is aggressive enough to offend if oversprayed. Overall it feels like a mainstream fruity floral trying hard to be edgy with that thyme and patchouli, but it never quite escapes the mall kiosk.

Who should wear it? A woman who loves sweet, juicy fruits but wants a little dirt from the patchouli — think black jeans and a glossy lip, autumn afternoons when the air is crisp but the sun still warms your skin. Skip it if you need a scent that lasts through a workday or if you find fruit notes cloying. Wear it for brunch, a casual date, or a weekday errand when you want a quick, cheerful burst. Ultimately, Adora is a fleeting thrill: a mango lassi spilled on a wooden table, sticky and sunny and gone before you can fully enjoy it.
