Our take

Sunlight hits the white tablecloth and Jinx arrives in a bright rush of grapefruit and aldehydes. The vine and black fig add a leafy, slightly sticky greenness that feels pulled straight from the garden outside. Basil sharpens the edges so the opening stays crisp rather than sweet. The florals soon move into the center, with lily-of-the-valley and jasmine leading a soft, slightly soapy wave that carries the ylang-ylang and Taif rose without letting any single petal dominate. Vetiver and oakmoss ground the bouquet with a cool, earthy woodiness, while French labdanum and amber give the base a gentle warmth that never turns heavy. White musk smooths the transition between the green top and the resinous drydown, and a hint of ginger keeps the entire composition alert.

The aldehydes that make the opening so vivid also create a synthetic edge that some will find too sharp against the natural fig and vine. That brightness can feel a little thin when the florals settle, leaving the heart less rounded than the note list promises. The ginger and labdanum try to bridge the gap, but the overall blend leans more on sparkle than depth.
