Our take

Poggia opens with a bright citrus splash: lemon and bergamot sharp enough to cut through a morning haze, undercut by a sweet, almost jammy peach. It’s not a simple sunny start, because the rosemary comes in quickly, a green, aromatic pinch that keeps the fruit from turning cloying. The heart is where it gets messy in a pleasant way. Turkish rose and ylang-ylang create a creamy, yellow floral backdrop, while passionfruit and green apple add a fizzy, candy-like lift. There is a lot going on here, and for a moment it feels like the juice can’t decide if it wants to be a chic chypre or a tropical cocktail. The base settles into a soft, ambery stretch of vanilla and musk, with ambergris lending a faint salty warmth that saves the whole thing from collapsing into flat sweetness.

The overall impression is of a picnic basket that forgot the bitter herbs. It wears very much in the mainstream niche spectrum: polished, generally pleasant, but lacking the sharp edges that make a true Terenzi stand out. The longevity holds up well above average, but the sillage is modest, staying close to skin after an hour. This is a safe spring or summer day scent for someone who wants a fruity floral without shouting. It suits fans of Jo Malone or Byredo more than hardcore chypre lovers. Anyone hoping for a bold green or resinous structure should skip it, because Poggia floats gently and disappears before making a lasting point.
