Our take

Black pepper and cardamom hit first, sharp and bright enough to make you pause. Violet leaf cools the opening so it never feels heavy, while the spice stays close to the skin rather than announcing itself across a room. Nutmeg and cedar move in soon after, giving the middle a dry, polished wood feel that pairs well with patchouli. The composition holds together through the day without demanding constant attention, settling into a steady rhythm that keeps the scent present on the wrist through a long afternoon.

Leather and vetiver anchor the base, supported by musk, amber, and vanilla that add warmth without turning sweet. The fabric of the fragrance feels masculine and grounded, suited to someone who wants a woody spice that does not overwhelm. It works best when the air is crisp enough to make a jacket necessary, or when a gray sky and damp pavement set the mood for something aromatic and slightly animalic. The ozonic and aquatic touches keep it from feeling too dense.

Dora Baghriche composed this 2010 release for Oriflame, and Platinum carries that careful balance of fresh spicy and warm spicy accords. The vanilla lingers in the background while the leather wears in like a well-used pair of gloves, and the scent stays near you as you move through a busy morning, leaving a faint trail that disappears once you step inside
