Tease Eau de Parfum opens with a juicy, almost candied pear that feels like biting into a chilled slice of fruit on a hot afternoon. The gardenia arrives quickly, creamy and slightly indolic, but it never gets heady because a sharp aquatic note cuts through the haze. What holds it all together is the black vanilla husk, which is less the deep, resinous stuff of gourmands and more a dry, powdered sugar vanilla that dusts everything in a soft haze. The whole thing dries down into a lactonic, powdery whisper, like a cashmere sweater that has been lightly spritzed and then forgotten.
