UnderOUD
Fragrance notes
Character
UnderOUD opens with a pepper and geranium pairing that feels sharp and slightly abrasive before the rest of the profile settles. The plum adds a quick flash of fruit, but it does not soften the edges for long. Sage and frankincense bring a dry, resinous air that keeps the entrance lean and austere rather than welcoming.
The heart introduces sandalwood and cedar alongside fir and balsam fir, creating a cool, forest-like woodiness that sits beneath the spice. Saffron threads through with a leathery warmth, while patchouli and vetiver add earthy depth. The transition is steady, moving from bright and prickly to a denser, resin-heavy wood.
Vanilla and tonka bean in the base provide a sweet, powdery foundation that meets the oud and castoreum. Benzoin and guaiac wood reinforce the balsamic, amber-like warmth, and moss adds a faint green touch. The musk binds the heavier elements so the composition stays close to the skin rather than expanding outward.
The result suits a cold evening walk under bare trees, when the air is crisp and the darkness feels heavy. The sweetness lingers beneath the resin and wood, curling around the sharper spices as the temperature drops and the night
