The base is where Alma de Flores Clássico spends most of its time. Oakmoss and tolu balsam bring a damp, resinous depth that grounds the vanilla and benzoin. The vanilla here is not sugary. It is dense and resinous, wrapped in benzoin that smells like warm tree sap. Tolu balsam adds a smooth, honeyed thickness that makes the moss feel lived-in instead of sharp. The carnation lingers through this stage, so the spice never fully disappears. This part of the fragrance feels like walking through a garden where stone walls hold morning moisture and the air smells of crushed herbs and old wood. The scent stays near the body, present enough to notice when you move, and it holds that closeness through the hours without thinning out too fast.
The herbal opening works best in natural light, when the air feels open and the day is active. The limitation is the carnation. Its clove tone can feel dry and slightly medicinal to those who prefer soft, rounded florals.
