Atelier Flou Hora Fugit opens with bay leaf and lavender that feel cool and slightly medicinal. Bergamot lifts the herbs without turning the entrance bright. The start is aromatic and camphor-tinged, leaning into the green side of the accord list rather than the sweet one.
Cedar and sandalwood take over with a dry, polished grain. Patchouli adds earth, and vetiver brings a clean, rooty edge that keeps the woods from feeling heavy. The heart stays aromatic and woody, with the fresh spicy accord humming beneath the surface.
Benzoin and leather give the base a resinous, slightly powdery weight. Nutmeg warms the finish without making it gourmand. The amber accord rounds the edges, but the leather and woods keep the overall impression masculine, dry, and composed rather than cozy.
Wear it when the street is wet and the streetlamps reflect on dark pavement, a wool coat pulled tight against the air, the scent rising in a quiet cloud as you walk past lit windows and closed doors.
