Sapphire is built for the woman who wants a citrus opening that behaves like a wood. The first spray brings bergamot and lemon with a bright lift, but the pear adds a soft roundness that keeps the acidity from feeling sharp. Pink pepper sits on top with a gentle heat that prepares the nose for the heavier materials waiting underneath.
The heart moves quickly into kephalis and white woods, where galbanum adds a green, resinous edge that cuts through the fruit. Cedar gives the center a dry backbone so the sweetness from the pear does not take over. This is where the fragrance decides to be amber and woody rather than a simple fresh citrus.
Cashmeran and guaiac wood in the base pull the entire composition toward a warm, balsamic finish. The musky accord wraps the woods in a smooth layer that feels modern and polished. It is a scent that stays close to its amber and woody accords while letting the citrus peek through now and then.
