Our take

The Street Artists of Isola opens with a curious splash of water lily and cyclamen, all translucent petals and damp early morning, but there’s an odd shimmer from ambrette that feels more like grey dishwater than clean laundry. The heart is where it gets interesting: fennel’s herbal-anise bite cuts through the floral haze, joined by a dusty orris that whispers faintly of lipstick on a concrete wall. Mugane, that synthetic green molecule, keeps things from tipping into full grandmother’s sachet. On the dry down, Lorenox and white musk make a flat, hazy bed for a thin amber that never truly warms. The whole thing lands like a graffiti mural glimpsed through rain-streaked glass — the colors are there, but they blur before you can name them.

This is distinctly synthetic and borderline perfunctory, more mainstream niche than true artistry. With longevity barely cresting two and a half hours and sillage that evaporates before you leave the room, it wears like a whisper someone forgot to finish. It suits someone who wants a clean, barely-there spritz for a humid summer day, a fleeting presence on a train car or at an outdoor market. Skip it if you crave depth, persistence, or any kind of statement. Wear it only in high heat when you need a ghost of freshness — and be ready to reapply.
