Blu opens with marigold, elemi, nutmeg and lemon. The marigold brings a slightly resinous floral edge to the citrus, while elemi adds a pale, airy resin that keeps the lemon from feeling sharp. Nutmeg sits close to the surface, giving the top a gentle warmth that prevents the opening from reading as purely bright. The heart introduces cardamom, mint and thyme. Cardamom deepens the spice without turning heavy, mint cools the blend and keeps it upright, and thyme adds an herbal, slightly dusty green thread that runs through the center. The transition feels steady rather than dramatic, moving from citrus and resin into a warmer, more aromatic space.
The base rests on vanilla, sandalwood, cedar and musk. Musk ties the woods and vanilla together with a clean, faintly powdery finish.
