EHSAASI is built for the person who wants a fruity scent without the bright, transparent finish that usually comes with the territory. The strawberry and plum in the opening are dark and heavy, pushed forward by saffron and nutmeg rather than a citrus lift. It feels dense from the first spray, more like a rich preserve than a fresh bowl of fruit. The spices do not sharpen the edges. They weigh the fruit down and give it a warm, slightly dusty texture that sits close to the skin.
The floral heart does little to lighten the composition. Rose and iris arrive with a powdery finish that blends into the spice instead of offering contrast. Lily-of-the-valley and jasmine are present in name, but they are muted by the heavier materials surrounding them. This is not a fresh floral arrangement. It is a warm, rounded layer that prepares the scent for its woody base without ever feeling like a distinct chapter in the wear.
What defines EHSAASI is the way oud and nagarmotha take over the fruit. The raspberry and pineapple do not fade so much as they are absorbed into a thick blend of sandalwood, patchouli, and guaiac wood. Vanilla and amber smooth the edges, while moss and white musk keep the base from becoming entirely sweet. The result is a woody fragrance that happens to be fruity, rather than a fruit scent with a woody drydown.
