Stepping into a cool morning with a scarf pulled tight, you are met by a dusty iris that smells like fresh linen and ground coffee beans. The opening feels brisk and a bit severe, as the powdery root cuts through the dark roast. It is a sharp, intelligent greeting that does not try to welcome you with sweetness right away.
As the day warms the air, the personality shifts toward a bright garden. Golden ylang-ylang and jasmine push forward, creating a lush, yellow floral heart. This phase feels creamy and slightly indolic, moving the scent from that crisp start into a softer, more romantic space where the flowers dominate the atmosphere completely.
The foundation settles into a heavy blanket of vanilla and tonka bean, supported by the woody resin of amyris and labdanum. It becomes a balsamic, amber-heavy warmth that envelops the skin. The transition from that crisp coffee to this deep, sweet resin feels like watching the sun dip lower and the air turn crisp.
The transition is not perfectly smooth. The jump from the bright jasmine to the heavy vanilla can feel sudden, and the coffee note vanishes much faster than the rich base deserves. It lacks a gentle bridge between the floral heart and the sweet, powdery finish, leaving a gap where the composition feels slightly disjointed.
