Character
Sunlight cuts across a polished wooden table where a glass of rum sits beside a bowl of black currant and sliced blood orange. The air carries the lift of aldehydes and the green bite of galbanum, bright enough to fill the space around the table without crowding the room. Sweet orange rounds the edges while the first breath of Egyptian jasmine and ylang-ylang begins to rise through pink pepper and palisander rosewood, the floral heart steady and present.
Chamomile and heliotrope soften the momentum as mango adds a gentle weight to the lilies and geranium. Angelica threads through the middle, keeping the flowers from collapsing into sweetness while pitosporum lends a quiet leafiness. The scent remains clear in the air as patchouli and labdanum anchor the blend, supported by sandalwood, cashmeran and the warm pull of ambergris and musk.
Ambrette lingers close to the skin while gurjan balsam deepens the wood, the entire composition holding its shape through the afternoon as the citrus slowly yields to the resinous base. The jasmine and ylang-ylang stay readable in the air, carried by the aldehydes and rum long after the oranges fade into the heart, the wooden table still catching light as the scent continues to drift outward
