Vétivérité
Fragrance notes
Character
Vétivérité opens with a crisp snap of green apple and mandarin orange, brightened by bergamot and petitgrain. The citrus feels clean and immediate, giving the fragrance a fresh start that does not lean sugary. Violet leaf enters soon after, adding a leafy green tone that keeps the fruit from feeling heavy. Pink pepper provides a light sparkle, while orange blossom and pomarose soften the edges with a gentle floral fruitiness. Cashmere wood rounds out the heart, creating a smooth bridge toward the deeper materials waiting below.
The base centers on vetiver, supported by Himalayan cedar, oakmoss, and patchouli. This earthy woodiness gains warmth from amber, amberwood, and ambergris, with musk settling everything into a calm finish. The composition stays close to the body, moving through its phases without ever expanding outward. Green apple and petitgrain linger just long enough to remind you of the opening while the vetiver slowly takes over.
The scent fits a bright morning where the air feels clear and the day is just starting. It carries a clean, natural energy that works well outdoors, matching a mood that is active but not rushed. The aroma feels appropriate when the light is strong and the temperature is comfortable, giving off a fresh and grounded impression.
The one drawback is that the citrus and violet leaf lack definition. The apple reads a bit generic, and the petitgrain does not show much character. The heart notes blend so smoothly that individual details disappear, leaving a pleasant but somewhat indistinct impression.
