The Taif rose brings a fresh, dewy petal quality, while the Bulgarian rose adds a deeper, almost syrup-like weight. This combination creates an immediate impression of walking into a spice market where fresh flowers are sold alongside dried herbs. The initial spray feels alive and slightly medicinal from the anise, promising a composition that values tradition over modern sweetness.
As the scent develops, the heart reveals a heavy curtain of frankincense and myrrh. Cinnamon and cloves add a rough, textured heat that rubs against the saffron's leathery edge. This is not a clean, soapy floral; it is resinous and thick, smelling of ancient interiors and polished wood. The sandalwood and oud in the base provide a creamy, dark foundation that anchors the spices, while the musk lends a soft, powdery finish to the balsamic air.
