Leather Oud
Fragrance notes
Leather Oud opens with a bright mix of citruses and bergamot, softened by the unusual addition of grass and a dark plum note. The grass brings a raw, green edge that stops the citrus from feeling polished. As the scent develops, cardamom and cinnamon add a warm, dry heat, while violet and lavender introduce a soft floral layer that sits quietly beneath the spices. The heart is not sweet. It feels structured and dry, with the lavender providing a clean backdrop for the cardamom to stand out.
The base is dominated by oud and leather, supported by frankincense, patchouli, and cedar. The oud here is prominent and has a resinous quality that blends directly with the rough texture of the leather. Frankincense adds a faint smoky dryness, and patchouli grounds the composition with its familiar earthy weight. The amber accord in the background gives the woods a slight warmth without turning the fragrance gourmand. The combination of grass in the opening and heavy oud in the dry down creates a disjointed transition that some wearers will find awkward.
