SELVAGGIO opens with a bright mix of pineapple, black currant, bergamot, and apple. The fruit is immediate and noticeable, giving the early stage a crisp and slightly tart character. It feels clean rather than sugary, with the citrus elements keeping the sweetness in check. The apple adds a fresh, green edge that prevents the opening from becoming too heavy.
The heart introduces birch, patchouli, Moroccan and Indian jasmine, and rose. The birch brings a dry, woody tone that shifts the composition away from the initial fruit. Patchouli adds an earthy depth, while the jasmine and rose provide a soft floral layer that does not dominate. The transition moves the scent from fresh to more textured and complex.
The base consists of musk, oakmoss, ambergris, vanilla, and suede. Musk and ambergris create a warm, animalic foundation, while oakmoss contributes a mossy, earthy quality. Vanilla smooths the sharper edges with a mild creaminess, and suede adds a subtle leather-like texture. The accords of amber, moss, musk, animalic, earthy, and powdery notes define the drydown, which stays close to these elements without introducing new directions.
