Blissful Fantasy
Fragrance notes
Character
Blissful Fantasy opens with a slice of melon so dewy it feels like biting into a morning that hasn’t quite decided to warm up. Lily and freesia flutter around that fruit like pale confetti, all translucent and polite. Then the heart steps in with tiare flower and tuberose, a creamy, almost coconut-tinged white floral that briefly promises depth. Jasmine adds a honeyed flicker, but the whole affair is gauzed over by that ozonic, aquatic accord, which keeps everything suspended in a mist rather than allowing any real heat to build. The drydown is a soft cloud of musk and sandalwood, powdered over by orris root. It smells like a hotel pool at 10 AM, where you’re wrapped in a towel that still smells like someone else’s sunscreen. That is not an insult. For the price, this is a remarkably coherent aquatic floral, far more refined than the brand’s earlier Fantasies, though the synthetic sheen never fully lifts. The numbers tell the honest story: longevity clocks in at a disappointing 2.69, sillage barely a whisper after an hour. You will need to reapply with enthusiasm. This is a spring and summer scent for someone who wants to smell clean, sweet, and uncomplicated, a daytime joyride for brunch or a breezy office where strong statements are frowned upon. If you crave beast mode projection or brooding evening florals, skip it. Blissful Fantasy is a lovely little watercolor, not an oil painting.
