Our take

Água de Folhas de Figo opens like a rain shower hitting a fig grove, all watery brightness and a sharp citrus flick from bergamot that quickly softens into the steely, almost metallic green of fig leaf. The heart is where it gets interesting: cashmere wood adds a soft, suede-like warmth that plays against the geranium’s faintly rosy snap, but this isn’t a leafy green that stays crisp. As it dries down, vetiver and patchouli anchor things with earthy, slightly smoky undertones while sandalwood keeps a creamy, almost lactonic whisper going underneath. The overall character is like standing under a dripping canopy of fig trees after a summer storm, the air thick with wet leaves and warm wood, but the breeze keeps moving.

This is a beautifully blended, natural-feeling take on a green aromatic. It doesn’t try to be niche or weird; it feels like a very sophisticated mainstream freshie with a thoughtful twist. The problem, and I have to be blunt, is that it barely lasts two hours on skin and sits so close you’ll be constantly re-sniffing your wrist. For that price and those green notes, I want at least a half-day presence.

Wear this in spring or fall, during the day, when you want something polite and uplifting but not loud. It suits anyone who loves subtle, leafy scents with a touch of woodiness. Skip it if you need projection or all-day endurance. A lovely spritz for a Sunday morning, but don’t expect it to travel with you.
