Root of all Goodness is a daylight fragrance for people who want herbs and citrus to lead the conversation. The opening places lemon and bergamot at the front, bright and immediate, with ginger adding a clean lift that keeps the mood alert. The heart reinforces that choice with hyssop, clary sage, and labdanum. The herbs feel dry and slightly medicinal rather than soft or floral, and the labdanum adds a resinous weight that prevents the citrus from floating away too fast. It is a deliberate middle that favors structure over comfort, which is exactly why this works for someone who prefers a fragrance with a defined spine.
Jacques Chabert composed a base of vetiver, leather, and amber that stays grounded without turning heavy. The accord list calls it aromatic, woody, and warm spicy, and those descriptors fit a scent that carries camphor and freshness alongside the resin.
