Character
Sweet orange and bergamot lead the opening with a bright, juicy citrus that feels polished rather than sharp. Pink pepper and cardamom add a gentle lift without turning the entrance into a spice rack. The florals arrive early, with jasmine sambac carrying a creamy, slightly indolic weight that sits close to the citrus. Rose de mai and rose take over the heart, supported by cloves that give a dry, aromatic edge to the petals. Frangipani and magnolia soften the blend, lending a tropical, waxy roundness that keeps the flowers from feeling strictly formal.
Oud dominates the base, presented in a resinous, woody form that leans more earthy than medicinal. Indian oud adds a deeper, slightly fermented layer beside it. Civet and musk introduce an animalic warmth that some will find rich and others may find too heavy. Birch tar brings a faint smoky dryness that cuts through the sweeter elements.
