GLORY OF JEDDAH
Fragrance notes
Character
The suede of a motorcycle seat warms under a rider who has pulled over on a quiet forest road. Virginia cedar and cypriol hit the cool air first, dry and mineral, while patchouli grounds the opening with an earthy weight. As the engine ticks and the night settles, oud rises from the leather jacket, resinous and deep, softened by Madagascar vanilla that never reads as a sweet treat. Smoke curls from the exhaust and mingles with the castoreum in the collar, creating a leather accord that feels lived in and unwashed. Guaiac wood and amber sit in the lining of the coat, holding the scent close to the body through the damp ride home.
The road is empty and the trees are bare, their branches etched against a sky that carries the damp cold of late fall and the fresh thaw of early spring. Every breath inside the helmet carries that woody smoke, the oud pressing into the leather and the amber glowing faintly against the chill. There is no sugar here, only the dry earth of patchouli and the mineral bite of cypriol meeting the animal heat of castoreum. The fragrance stays within the jacket and the bike, a personal atmosphere built from smoke, oud, and leather.
