Character
Lautus opens with bright yuzu and lemon verbena that feel clean and immediate. Lavender sits beside the citrus without dominating it, and neroli adds a soft white floral lift. The start is fresh but not sharp, more polished than wild.
Cascarilla and juniper berries bring a peppery, resinous edge to the heart. Freesia keeps the middle light, while orris introduces a powdery iris tone that bridges the bright top into the heavier base. The transition feels deliberate rather than accidental.
Vanilla and sandalwood form a smooth, creamy foundation that carries the fragrance through most of its wear. Patchouli and ambergris add earth and salt, while palisander rosewood and musk keep the drydown woody rather than sugary. The base is the longest and most detailed part of the scent.
