Twist of Watermelon focuses on two simple notes. Mandarin orange and watermelon sit beside each other without much else happening. The citrus accord feels bright and a little sharp. The fruity side is juicy but stays on the surface. There is an ozonic quality that adds a breezy, open air feel. Aldehydic touches give the blend a slight sparkle that keeps it from feeling flat. The aquatic element suggests water without making the scent cool. It reads as a straightforward mix that does not try to be complex.
The later stage keeps the same two notes but the citrus steps back. Watermelon takes a larger role and the scent becomes softer and a bit more sugary. The ozonic and aquatic parts fade, leaving a cleaner sweetness that stays near the skin. Aldehydes linger as a fine trace that prevents the fruit from feeling heavy. The limitation here is the narrow range. With only two notes and a small set of accords, the composition runs out of ideas quickly. It smells pleasant, but there is no depth or change to discover after the first impression.
