The drydown is where the fragrance settles into its identity. Sandalwood and amber create a smooth, resinous foundation that feels rounded and comforting. Vanilla adds a soft sweetness that blends into the balsamic accord rather than standing out on its own. The cinnamon remains detectable here, now softened by the woody base, while the earlier patchouli continues to provide a dark, slightly dirty edge. The overall texture is rich and slightly heavy, leaning into the powdery side of the rose and the creamy depth of the sandalwood. It suits cooler evenings and formal indoor settings where a cozy, spiced aura fits the mood. Someone who enjoys classic oriental compositions with a noticeable floral heart will find a lot to like here. It feels traditional rather than modern, and the blend stays cohesive from the first spray to the final traces on fabric.
The limitation is the orange. It promises a livelier, more citrus-driven journey than the fragrance actually delivers. Once that top note vanishes, the composition stays firmly in a warm, spicy, and powdery lane with little brightness to balance the density. If you hoped for a vibrant citrus spice that keeps its energy, this will feel too flat and too heavy.
