Fragrance notes
The sun sits low over the rocky plateau, and the air carries a thick resinous weight. Labdanum opens the scene with a dark, sticky balsamic warmth that feels heavy against the dry landscape. It smells of sun-baked earth and ancient resin, a scent that clings to the skin like dust.
Patchouli joins the labdanum, adding a damp, soil-like depth that grounds the resin. Saffron threads through the heart, offering a metallic, warm spicy edge that brightens the heavy greens. Rose appears here too, but it is not fresh or dewy. It is a dried, powdery petal, crushed into the spice and earth, lending a soft floral haze to the rugged surroundings.
Wood dominates the ground beneath your feet. Sandalwood provides a creamy, smooth foundation, while cedar adds a dry, sharp bark-like clarity. Oud sits at the center of this wooden expanse, deep and medicinal, with a slight animalic funk that feels raw and unpolished. The amber accord wraps around these woods, making the entire atmosphere feel enclosed and dense.
The scent is undeniably rich and atmospheric, capturing a specific rugged terrain. However, the powdery rose and heavy amber combine to create a texture that feels slightly dusty and dated. It lacks a modern brightness, leaving a slightly stale impression that prevents the resinous woods from feeling truly vibrant.
