Our take

Royal Night opens with a blast of medicinal oud sharpened by birch and a synthetic bite of amberwood. It’s aggressive, almost confrontational, and the leather and incense in the heart double down on that smoky, animalic intensity. But then the base drags it into something stranger: rose and raspberry. The fruit doesn’t sweeten so much as stain, turning the whole thing into a black leather jacket crusted with old jam and altar smoke. It wears heavy, syrupy, and decidedly synthetic in the way that makes you check the bottle for a niche logo you won’t find. The performance tells the truth: longevity hangs near four hours before shrinking to a skin scent, and sillage is modest for something this loud. You won’t choke a room, but you’ll leave a residue.

This is for someone who wants their oud unapologetically dark but with a fruity wink, a scent for late nights and colder months. Winter owns it, fall backs it up, and spring is a gamble. Skip it if you prefer clean woods or airy florals. A weird, compelling Franken-fragrance that feels like a clubber who wandered into a cathedral and never left.
