Opuluxe
Fragrance notes
Character
Opuluxe opens with a brisk mix of saffron, clary sage, and basil that feels herbal and slightly resinous. Brazilian rosewood and coriander add a dry, faintly peppery edge, while vetiver and myrrh keep the start lean and clean. The spices arrive early but do not dominate, letting the aromatic greens carry the first impression.
Cinnamon and thyme warm the heart, joined by a soft osmanthus floral touch and the clove-like bite of carnation. The spices here feel round rather than sharp. As the fragrance settles, sandalwood and benzoin create a smooth, resinous foundation that supports the leathery suede and the deep, animalic castoreum. Oakmoss adds an earthy dryness, while timur brings a subtle prickly heat that lingers near the skin. Musk ties the base together with a quiet, steady presence that stays close for a long while.
The mineral accord runs through the drydown like a cool stone lying beneath warm fabric. Wear it when the air feels crisp enough to see your breath but the sun still cuts through the trees, or when a heated room needs something grounded to cut the dry heat.
