That brisk introduction quickly softens as the heart emerges, layering rum’s boozy warmth over creamy heliotrope and smoky guaiac wood, with patchouli anchoring the middle in a quiet earthiness. The dry down is where this fragrance truly settles into its skin: vanilla and benzoin create a soft, powdered amber base, but there’s a leathery backbone that prevents it from becoming cloying, just a hint of animalic bite beneath the sweetness.
