Semence Douce
Fragrance notes
Character
Semence Douce opens with a bright, almost startling snap of green sap, raw and vegetal, like crushing a fresh stem between your fingers. That initial bitterness softens quickly into a tulip note that is not sweet or jammy but cool, pale, and subtly metallic, as if the flower were still wet with morning dew. Then comes the almond milk, creamy and slightly nutty, wrapping everything in a soft, powdery warmth, while saffron adds a faint, dusty spice that flickers at the edges without ever taking over.
The overall character is a single vivid image: a glass of chilled almond milk set on a windowsill next to a bunch of just-cut tulips, the stems still weeping green droplets into the saucer. It feels natural, restrained, and distinctly niche, with a delicate transparency that never pushes into gourmand territory. The sweetness is gentle, not syrupy, and there is a subtle fruity flicker that lifts the composition just enough to keep it from feeling too botanical.
But the numbers are honest, and the weaknesses are plain. With longevity just barely above three and sillage that barely registers past arm’s length, this is a fragrance that whispers rather than speaks. It suits the morning person, the quiet minimalist, the one who prefers their scents like a private note rather than a broadcast. Skip it if you want projection or hours of presence. Wear it on a cool spring day, for a slow breakfast or a walk through a garden before the sun gets high. It is lovely, and it is fleeting, like the season itself.
