Our take

Thornwood Thicket feels crowded. Blackberry, sugar, amber, and vanilla collide with guaiac wood, oud, and oakmoss until no single element gets room to breathe. The blend is sweet and fruity, woody and mossy, earthy and amber all at once, and the result is a thicket in the literal sense. Walking through damp spring soil under a gray sky, the air carries crushed berries mixed with resinous wood and a heavy, sugary warmth. It is a daytime moment in cool air, the kind of walk where the ground is soft and the trees block the sun. The scent sits right against the skin, moving only as close as the next breath, and it stays there for a while without pushing outward. Each note remains present throughout, none of them stepping forward or fading away.

The press of so many accords makes the fragrance feel messy rather than rich. Sugar and blackberry fight the oakmoss and oud instead of supporting them, and the amber adds a heavy glow that does not settle the mix. In that same cold woodland air, the vanilla and wood twist together without finding a clear shape. The scent remains near the body, never reaching past the person wearing it, and it carries on through the morning without thinning out. All the elements stay tangled from the first moment to the last.

The problem returns to the overcrowding. Too many notes pull in different directions, and the fragrance never decides what it wants to be. The blend stays near the skin and holds that same busy character the entire time it lingers.
