The notes sit together in a straightforward arrangement that smells like a garden during the bright part of the day, when sunlight makes colors look flat and clear.
Musk and patchouli take over as the scent continues. The musk is soft and slightly powdery, wrapping around the remaining rose. Patchouli adds an earthy, dark edge that grounds the floral elements. The rose does not fade completely, but it steps back while the base grows richer. Clove lingers in the background, now more resinous than peppery. Violet leaf recedes, leaving the musk and patchouli to carry the weight. The later stage feels drier and more textured than the first impression.
The fragrance stays linear once the base settles. The rose never regains its earlier presence, and the patchouli can feel a bit one-dimensional after a while. It lacks a contrasting element to lift the heavier notes, so the drydown becomes predictable. The simplicity works for a daytime choice, but the composition does not offer much development beyond the initial shift from bright to earthy.
