Our take

A burst of litchi and pomelo, fizzy and tart, cuts through the air like a slice of citrus in a glass of sparkling water. The mandarin adds a sweet, candied edge before the peony unfurls, creamy and lush, joined by the clean whisper of cyclamen and a hint of jasmine’s indolic warmth. As it settles, the fruit fades into a soft musk with a trace of ambroxan’s salty shimmer and a whisper of sandalwood, barely there. The whole thing evokes a silk blouse left on a dewy garden table overnight, petals clinging to the fabric, the scent of early morning and polite luxury.

This is a polite fragrance, polished and mainstream, leaning more synthetic than natural but in the way a well-made bouquet from a florist feels deliberately pretty. It is sweet but not cloying, fresh but not sharp, with a powdery finish that keeps things ladylike. The trouble is it barely lasts. Two hours in and it’s a ghost, with sillage that stays close to the skin like a secret you have to lean in to hear. At a 2.73 longevity and 2.57 sillage, it is a fleeting pleasure, perfect for a spring brunch, a daytime wedding, or an afternoon of errands when you want a gentle lift. It suits someone who values a delicate, airy floral over performance, someone who reapplies without resentment. Skip it if you need a fragrance to carry you through a workday or command a room. This peony blooms and falls silent before you finish your coffee.
