Peat hits first, dry and smoldering. The candied fruits arrive soon after, glossy and loud. Malt adds a grain-like warmth that pulls the sweetness toward something baked. Caramel sits underneath, thick and golden. Calone pushes a fresh, watery lift through the heavier notes. The floral accord is present but quiet, more a texture than a clear flower. It is sweet, then earthy, then ozonic in quick turns.
The whiskey accord feels more like a shadow than a direct pour. Woody facets give the smoke a sturdy base. The fruity side leans candied, not fresh. There is a synthetic edge to the caramel that some will notice immediately. Others will find the ozonic note too sharp against the malt. It suits someone who enjoys gourmand scents with a rough opening. It does not suit a preference for clean, transparent citrus.
The smoke never fully settles, even when the sugar takes over. Floral notes drift through the middle without claiming much space. Fresh and earthy tones trade places across the wear. The candied fruits stay bright while the peat darkens everything near them. The caramel eventually smooths the rougher edges of the malt. A glass decanter rests on a damp stone ledge beside a bowl of sugar-coated plums.
