Character
Cardamom, pine, and star anise lead the opening with a brisk, resinous lift that quickly deepens through coffee, black pepper, and saffron. Red berries and plum add a soft, dark fruitiness that keeps the spices from feeling dry, while aldehydes introduce a faint, airy shimmer across the surface. Leather appears early, giving the top notes a slightly rugged edge before the heart takes over. Guaiac wood and birch bring a firm, smoky woodiness that supports Taif rose and honey, which feel rich rather than sugary. Jasmine, ylang-ylang, and tuberose add creamy floral weight, and incense, myrrh, and frankincense wrap the florals in a steady, resinous haze. Carnation and orchid provide gentle spice and a powdery touch, while cedar grounds the middle with a clean, dry wood.
Tobacco and tonka bean form a warm, slightly sweet foundation that blends easily with patchouli, vanilla, and amber. Leather returns in the base alongside oud, civet, and castoreum, creating a dense, animalic depth that feels heavy and unapologetic. Candied fruits glisten briefly through the darker materials, and labdanum, Peru balsam, and Gurjan balsam add a thick, balsamic glow. Musk and vetiver sit low, adding texture without brightness. Sandalwood smooths the edges just enough to keep the base from turning harsh. The composition is extremely crowded, and the large number of competing notes can make it difficult to pick out individual elements clearly.
