Our take

The opening feels crowded. Pink pepper and coriander arrive together with the bergamot and neroli, and the spices push hard against the citrus instead of letting it breathe. It creates a sharp, slightly abrasive first impression that can feel messy rather than complex. The brightness is there, but it is buried under a layer of heat that some will find overwhelming.

The room is a sunlit conservatory filled with blooming jasmine and orange blossom. Honeysuckle and rose wind through the air, softened by a powdery iris that settles the space. It smells like a dense white floral arrangement sitting on a stone table, the petals heavy and slightly waxy. The air feels thick with pollen and warmth.

A gourmand base grounds the flowers. Labdanum and vanilla mix with caramel and sugar, creating a sticky, amber warmth that clings to the air. The civet adds a distinct animalic edge that prevents the sugar from becoming too playful. It is a scent that feels expensive and slightly old-fashioned, sitting between a vintage powder room and a modern candy shop.

Musk smooths the sharper edges of the spices. The vanilla remains, deep and sweet, lingering in the fabric of a chair cushion.
