Sweet from the first spray, Love Don't Be Shy opens on neroli and bergamot with pink pepper adding a little heat, before orange blossom, honeysuckle, and jasmine build a thick white floral heart within minutes. Marshmallow and iris soften the edges into something closer to whipped cream than fresh flowers standing alone.
Calice Becker pushed the base hard into sugar, vanilla, caramel, and civet, turning the drydown dense and a little animalic underneath all the sweetness, an odd, skin-like warmth sitting below the candy. That contrast between sugar and skin is what keeps it interesting rather than just another vanilla-caramel gourmand.
It won't quit early, and the sillage stays sized for close company, warm and present without spreading far. Day and night both suit it about equally, though deep summer is the one season where that much sweetness and civet can feel like too much heat rising off the skin. Fall, winter, and spring carry it far more comfortably.
Fans of heavy white florals paired with a gourmand base will find plenty to enjoy here, and the civet gives it a distinctive, skin-warm edge beneath all that sugar.
