Black Sun Sport
Fragrance notes
Character
Black Sun Sport opens with a bright, almost abrasive squeeze of yuzu, its citrus peel snapping with a green bitterness that nutmeg immediately warms into something spicier. The geranium in the middle is a stiff, aromatic floral, more like crushed leaves than petals, while cedar provides a dry, sawn-wood foundation. As it dries, musk and amber soften the edges into a faint, powdery sweetness that clings close to skin, like the ghost of a sunlit afternoon evaporating off pavement.
The overall character is that of a cheap ceramic tile left in the sun: smooth, moderately warm, but ultimately hollow once you tap it. This is a perfectly serviceable designer release, synthetic in the best intended way for its price tier, but it evaporates within an hour and barely projects beyond an arm's length. With a longevity of 2.62 and sillage of 2.48, Black Sun Sport behaves less like a fragrance and more like a brief, polite nod. It suits someone who wants a casual, inoffensive spritz for a hot day at the beach or a morning coffee run, and it should be skipped by anyone expecting a statement or an evening wear. Spring and summer are its only real habitats, and even then, expect to reapply.
