Our take

Peonypop opens with a bright, almost fizzy burst of grapefruit and black currant, but the Bulgarian rose and osmanthus are already muscling in, turning the citrusy spark into something more lush and jammy. It develops quickly into a dense floral heart where peony and raspberry dominate, surrounded by jasmine, geranium, and lily-of-the-valley—all of them polished to a mirror shine. The dry-down settles into a soft, woody-musky base with plum adding a touch of dark fruit and myrrh lending a faint ecclesiastical warmth. The whole thing feels like a bouquet that’s been left in a sunlit conservatory: blooming, slightly humid, and already beginning to fade at the edges. It’s sweet and fresh in equal measure, but the sweetness is more fruity than syrupy, and despite the laundry list of notes, the composition skews modern and streamlined rather than opulent. That said, the longevity is borderline disappointing at around four hours, and the sillage hovers close to the skin after the first thirty minutes. This is a fragrance for a spring brunch or a daytime garden party, best worn by someone who wants to smell effortlessly pretty without demanding attention. Anyone expecting depth or a statement should skip it—Peonypop is a cheerful, ephemeral whisper, not a conversation.
